WTF is homesteading? How is it different than having a family farm?

Also, those people have better English language skills than most of ATOT.
 
Pretty good stuff. While I've lived in the city my entire life, I intend on retiring out to the country someday. IMO everyone should know how to can their own food, make their own soap, do basic sewing, etc. People are way way too reliant on consumerism these days. Despite all the hype, there is very little actual DIY. Hell, most people would rather get McD's than cook a basic meal for themselves. It's no wonder the slave mentality is spreading...
 
I am really confused why people think its so funny. so people choose a diffrent way of life. they are not breaking any laws and living good. Not everyone needs or wants to live in a busy metro area.

Wow that's actually a really cute forum. I get a good laugh when I read some of that stuff but it really opens my eyes to the different lifestyles of some people and how they make do with what they have.
