dear atot, im looking for the funnest languange for someone (me) to learn who only knows english. by fun i mean a combination of the following (most to least important):

1# ease of learning for an adult english only speaker
2# application in real life situations such as every day, trips, etc
3# cool factor of knowing said language

i have decided i just have way too much free time and need to spend some of it becoming fluent in another language!

I don't know about fun, but French is pretty much a must know for a lot of jobs that require you to be bilingual. I'd start there.

Italian would be fun to learn. At least the swear words.

Dothraki - useless, but kind of cool
Latin - read some of the classics in the original language, a bit useful since many languages evolved from it
Sign language - could actually be useful

I always heard that Spanish was the easiest to learn and with a soon to be the largest minority speaking it it might come in handy.

The USA is adopting Spanish as the National language, so you might as well get ahead and learn to speak it now. :)

That would be really difficult in any other language :p
