Hey,
I have a 21" sony monitor that shakes like a 4 year old on crack (I speak from experience) everytime my printer "wakes up" from it's hibernated state (either when I'm printing or when I press the WAKE button on it).. The lower right hand corner is the worst.. I'm pretty sure it's a power problem because the lights in my room also dim a bit (and the fuse blows when I turn on the AC sometimes).. So what can I do about it? I have a mid-level surge protector hooked up to it but don't have any other outlets near me.. Any other options? The printers are a brother hl-1440 (sucks up a massive amount of juice for such a little guy!) and a xerox 860dp ( a big color laser so I understand why there's a power issue)..
