Funky case temps

I have a skyhawk aluminum mini-server case (the good type, similar to lian-li) with 3 panaflo L1A fans, and I'm getting some really funky case temperatures. According to SpeedFan and BIOS, the case temperature is 38 degrees (the room is pretty hot, around 28 degrees or so), while the CPU is 40 and northbridge is 37. The funny thing is, hard drive temp are much lower than case temps; one is 29 degrees and the other one is 31. Any idea what might be causing this?

My system is as follows:
CPU: P4C 2.4, running at 3.2GHz with Zalman 7000Cu at low setting (around 1300RPM)
Motherboard: ABIT IS7-G
PSU: Antec True430
Memory: 2x Kingston HyperX 4000 with aluminum heatspreaders
