fundamental harddrive partition/restore question...

hello. Here is the computer harddrive situation: Sony Vaio r505TL with 15GB harddrive set-up with two partitions C: and D:...C: contains the OS files and programs and I just got done performing a partiton to image file in Norton Ghost2001 of the C: partition onto the D: partition. I then sent this image to another computer on the network for back-up (i split the image to fit on cd in case I decide to burn it). In the event that I had to reload the image file, how would this work in concern to the two partitions? Would I have to set-up the partitions on the harddrive before re-installing the image or would this be taken care of? I hope this is clear...should be an easy question, I just don't know that much about norton or patitions . thanks a ton for reading this and hopefully replying!

you should not have to split to burn to cds it will do it on its own when burning, when cd is full it will ask for another.you should also read
the manual. you might also want to make the cd bootable.
