function key help?

i have the hp dv1170us laptop and i cant get some of the function keys to work.


when i hold the function key and try to get the numpad keys to work they dont respond. ever other function key works, except for the 10 numbers.

any idea why this is like this?

i have turned on and off numlock to see if anything happened, but it didnt.

also running xp home.

it seems that the 8,4,2,6 keys are acting like arrow keys when i use the function key. but when i hit numlock, they do nothing.

I'll play with my gf's dv1000 Sun or Mon and let you know what I find 🙂
