Fun uses for a laptop?

For some reason, don't ask me why, I've gotten the bug to buy a laptop. So I found a "hot deal" and picked one up brand new for $500. 14" wxga, under 6lb, 2.0ghz amd 64... it's more powerful than my desktop :

So, help me justify my purchase, and tell me some fun uses for a laptop. I live in NYC so I'll probably take it to coffee shops and hang out... I had a USB Delorme GPS thing lying around so I'll do some wardriving too. I'm gonna buy a OBD-II interface for my car, I can use it to pull codes and do some dyno estimates. What else??

Yeah, you got the idea You spent very little on a portable PC, what else is there to it Idea?

Use a Targus bag to strap it between the front seats of your car for a big portable dvd player. Get a gps software that talks to you and your still out less than a TomTom. Have lunch somewhere with fast free wifi, like hotels, and stream live tv. Or "TIVO to go" your shows and watch them on the train.

watch some TV or videos or read some manga on it. while on a couch, car, plane, train, etc.
or you can listen to music and surf the web at local wifi hotspots!

I'd have to say watching movies while on a plane is the greatest thing I have EVER used my laptop for.
Made some 2 hour flights feel like they lasted 15min
And when your plane gets delayed "sweet another hour to finish this movie!"

Only thing that sucks is when the people in front of you recline the laptop can get jammed into your stomach pretty good

Also use it for when I go to my brother in laws house for some old school quake3 LANs, 3 or 4 of us gaming on laptops =)
