I'm kind'a gunna go with the idea that our intel agencies clearly understood from before Trump scammed his way into office that he was a major security risk what with his owing his financially clusterfucked ass to Putin and his fellow oligarchs, so our intel guys have been feeding him select BS intel from the get-go that would lead the FSB astray or at the least hold whatever Trump told them as being highly suspect as far that ongoing game they play with our intel folks is concerned.

I'm just sad that the Party of Trump never ever held it against him his disgust for our intel community, our allies and having his chin getting ball-slapped by Putin on a regular basis.

Of course, Putin knows Trump is a pathological liar. He catered to Trump only because he found him easy to manipulate and useful to his causes.
