Hello, like the topic says, I just bought a:

WinFast A250 LE TD - MyVIVO Edition,

My question is, with my current system:

Athlon 1.2 Ghz
Geforce 2 mx200
256 mb ram pc 133
24x10x40 cd rw
52x cd rom
onboard sound
some ethernet card...
30GB HD (FULL)

And various other crap that shouldnt be important to know, except that the motherboard is over a year old just like the rest of the system

So my question is this, I am getting cable TV when I go to university, so, what do I need to do to record video/audio into computer readable format, Know this, I dont know a lot about this right now, but the FULL link to the card is right here:
http://www.leadtek.com/graphics/a250le-myvivo/a250le-myvivo.htm

with the link for another view of the card provided by newegg.com is here: http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?image=14-122-150-01.JPG/14-122-150-02.JPG/14-122-150-03.JPG

So, this card will achieve my goal, play nhl 2003 well, and unreal tournament 2003 well, but, thats not why I got VIVO, I currently have a digital camera, so I would like to get some software for making movies out of all the clips, but I would also like to do some funny stuff with clips from tv shows, and just cause I think I can, copy some shows for later viewing,

My questions basically are:

Since I will have some generic 27" tv, and digital cable, can I, with everything provided with this card, capture video, especially in higher settings??? Also, I will need a new hard drive (Any suggestions?) around 40GB, I am working with win 98 se.... Can I capture video in high quality, with all the cords I will have, or I will I need new cords???

What quality will I be able to record in, and what format? Also, how big will the average file be considering my computer has trouble with anything over 720,000 kb for a cd...

I have other questions, but am mostly just trying to learn about the card, like for instance, I notice the card has nothing for dual monitor support so I will need to buy that thing.

Also, how is tv out, on this card, I likely wont be doing it too much, but my geforce 2 mx 200 just blew at it, and I am thinking of hooking up projectors and other wierd stuff for massive games,

I just want to know all the fun stuff I can do with this card, so please, fire away all useful, and useless junk you wish in this posting,

Thanks, Dustin

(I am pretty sure all 128 mb 4200's have only 7.1 gbs bandwidth, so why do they advertise it with 8?)
