Fun stuff to do in Dallas? Any restaurants worth checking out?

I'm going to be in Dallas in a few weekends with some friends. I know there are plenty of things to do, but was wondering if there were anything fun or cool that's not really touristy or mainstream.

I've been to the zoo, plenty of bars, clubs, and restaurants, the japanese garden, and some other stuff. Other suggestions? Specific restaurants to check out?

If I went to Dallas I would have to check out the book depository building...that would be the first place I went
