Fun artle in the Wall Street Journal that pinpoints a glaring flaw in the Democratic party using the dummest arguments I can imagine.

I find the criticism totally accurate. The main theme among Democrats is that Conservatives are stupid, but when it comes to him suggesting that Republicans have good arguments to make and I think the do, the ones the author gives as examples are dumber than shit. i think he does a poor job of making his case but then, like he predicted, his arguments just seem plane dumb to me.

The strengths I think Conservatives have over liberals is that they take more factors into account as important moral values. But just like the author here, the way they see those values looks plain dumb to me. What possible good is it to hold values and not know what they are in reality? Take respect for authority. Vital for human survival. Thinking Trump is a positive example of respectable authority, insanity.

Opinions?

This writer is an idiot. No one offering apology for covid restrictions. Sure killing off 1 million Americans wasn’t enough.

Click on the highlighted Barton Swain. Seems he was on the editorial board of the Weekly Standard in 2018.

How about conservatives having "values" and jettisoning them when it comes politically convenient?

Does doing that indicate they were never really "values"?

Plooping in a beanmoom thread.

I love it when dumbest is spelled wrong.

Dummi bears, bouncing here and there and everywhere. Insanity that's beyond compare, they are the dummi bears!

I'm sure someone could do a more comprehensive parody. Like for the Dummi beary juice, what's the juice thing they think liberals are milking form kids? Adrenochrome or some shit?

Is the OP just letting random people use his account now?

and I think the do

OP, you are cleared for takeoff.

his arguments just seem plane dumb to me

It means that the values that people believe they have are there by forceful indoctrination and that proclaiming them, pushing them on others, and basking in the self congratulatory imagination of the virtue confirmed by the presence of holding them gets swept away when the ox that gets gored by actual adherence to the goodness contained in those values is discovered to have a cost they are unwilling to pay.

Everything is fine with holding high values so long as no application of them extracts a price. There different values surface that take the primary attention.

You have no idea just how incredibly bad my spelling is, how I can’t figure out how to spell the simplest of words. I have no idea how I struggled even to learn how to read. I once got a ticket for casting off a public pier in front of a sign that said no casting in 6 foot letters. I didn’t see it. Shown a cartoon joke in a group of people most are laughing while I an still trying to decide which word bubble to read.

I think I was in fourth grade before I could read and I was also held back.

Even worse was learning to write. Where do you start trying to explain something you grasp the whole of instantly.

So enjoy your laugh, but know there was a time when I felt dumber than you can imagine. I used to think the ability to spell meant something. It’s just an ability I don’t have. It does not define who I am.

In this post I had to ask Siri how to spell pier and I also wrote right for write and then how to spell Siri which I got wrong on my own.

Anyway, just wanted you to know that if I misspelled a word in a long thread title because the beginning word disappear off the screen and that delights you, did I but show you my real disability I would have you rolling on the floor in a state of ecstasy, another word I can’t spell.
