are there any pc games out that are fun and relaxing to play?

like most games i end up getting frustrated with after a point. like there's some extremely impossible level or boss that keeps you from progressing and you just die 20 times in a row.

i'm not sure an easy game is really what i'm looking for, but something that doesn't take a lot of effort to become good at and is just fun to play.

Go buy a gamecube and pick up pikman. I honestly can say that game would put a smile from ear to ear on my face when I played.

Obl . . . :p

Serious Sam series . . . just point, shoot and strafe . . . then shoot running backwards . . . reload . . . change weapon . . . repeat

IF you find mindless killing of hords of enemies, 'relaxing' ;)
:Q

no difficult 'puzzles' . . . no major 'jumping' . . . just kill.

:D

Heroes of Might and magic V, it's turnbased so you can play in your own speed. It's really good.

agreed

I'm currently on a very very long level and I just occasionaly play a few turns, then few days later continue. Love it since my enthusiasm for games has gone down alot lately but this one is just perfect for my level of interest.

Also I would recomend the katamari games for ps2 and psp, can get a bit frustrating but only if you ignore the fact that its fun to have another go at the levels :D

Didnt you end up buying a DS? I dont own one but from what I've played that seems like a system with good games that would fit what you want. Easy to pop in a game and be playing in a minute.

I'm trying to think of the PC games I have right now or have played recently but I'm not coming up with anything fitting your criteria. And you have already played Gun (fairly easy and very fun, but short so theres not much left to do after its beaten).

no, i went to walmart, checked it out and decided not to get it (the DS, that is). was way too small for my hands plus there were very few games i was actually interested in.

Gun was very fun but it had its frustrating parts. I too wish it would have been longer or they released an expansion. such a great game.

i plan on getting a Nintendo Wii once its released so buying a GC right now would be a waste of money.

i also did play the demo of HOMM 5 but found it very difficult. I won maybe 2 or 3 battles but then the next one was always impossible. i could never have enough units or strong enough units. i always lost because of the time limit also. there didn't seem to be any instruction on what i was supposed to do. plus i'm not a big fan of turn based games.

i used to play sim city 2000 and thought it was kind of fun building cities and stuff., i think thats why i liked B&W2 as much as i did. but i could never figure out how to fix the problems of the people in the cities.

is there anything like the old Lemmings games? i remember playing it on my uncle's Tandy 1000 back in the day and was fun trying to figure out how to get them to safety.

I thought you said IV and I was getting the flamethrower ready

That said, HOMM5 is a good game to play, but not necessarily relaxing. There's a little too much strategy and "oops" factor to make it a good game to play as a relaxer.

Pick up some old Game Boy Advance games on the cheap. There are a lot of goodies still out there.

That reminds me, Roller Coaster Tycoon is still a great game, and is really relaxing. Check it out, it shouldn't cost too much.
