Also, a coupon for $10 off any PC game at Circuit City.

**Edit: Full version and coupon in the October issue of PC Gamer.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up. I've always wanted to replay this beast of a game but never had the ambition to load 6 cd's worth of install disks. 😛

I believe they forgot to mention that it's on this month's PC Gamer DVD edition.

Yes, my mistake. I thought I typed "in this month's PC Gamer DVD edition" in the subtitle.

Do not purchase this magazine and game, it will make you lose hours of sleep and will stop eating for 3 days just to play bg.
You've been warned

Edited for clarity. 😀

Where do I get the DVD edition?

I just shelled out $8 for the cd edition. Their web page makes no mention of any dvd edition.

if I knew this was the cd edition I would have never of bought it.

Ha! I preordered my original BG shipment. It came in sometime in December of...99...I think. I didn't leave my computer chair for 24 hours straight. 😛

Ya and 2 full days of that will be your party walking across empty areas 😀

I just ordered it off amazon with the expansion pack for $21.xx shipped. I should have done that instead of buying the stupid magazine.

Unless you manage to figure out that you can go straight to any area by clicking it on the map :Q

Duh. Doesn't change the fact that when you get to an area, you're usually hoofing it around a lot.

Hey, I'm not dissing the game, it's worth the buy, just trying to add a little humor. BG2 was way better but BG was a landmark RPG. Kinda like Darklands done right.

be better if it was Torment as i cant find the @$#@ game anywhere B&M 🙁

Hail sword-ringer!

Heheh... I had a jones for Torment last month, and I couldn't find my disc... I remembered seeing Torment bundled with some other game as a "Value Pack" in many different software bins not TOO long ago. But like you said, I couldn't find it ANYWHERE now. So ended up at EB, and looked thru the stacks of used software, and found the LARGE BOX edition, and they were asking $20 for it. (As opposed to the Value Pack that was $9, new, and contained another game... Grrrrr...) I was pleasantly surprised to find it had never been opened, so at least it was new.
