Can a full version disk be used as an upgrade disk? Like use it to upgrade from 98 to XP like the upgrade disk would, without CD Key?
 
You can upgrade with a full disk, as long as it's retail and not OEM. I'm pretty sure you need the CD key regardless (I could be wrong, however).
