"the hatchback Versa arrives this July with a base price of $13,255."
that makes the car pointless when i can get a sentra for $10k. unlike the european market, they are forcing americans to buy stuff they don't really need... what happened to a simple car with an adequate engine, an AC with a simple cd player with AUX in? why buy a versa when you can have a sentra for less? why buy a jazz when a civic is a couple hundred more? the yaris is a nice start... but how about making it under $10k?
one can say that the jazz is the great grand son of thisOriginally posted by: iamwiz82

The Aveo is a rebadged Daewoo and is next generation of Lanos, so it's been around just as long.
Either way,

"the VX with a 92-horsepower 1.5-liter with variable valve timing tuned for economy (VTEC-E)... The VX, which also came with lightweight alloy wheels, managed fuel economy figures of 48 in the city and 55 on the highway"
the auto industry is really taking a step back... no fancy electronic motor... no diesel... all done back in 1992.
