Full Test: 2004 Toyota Camry Solara
While the 2004 version has taken a solid step toward offering the sporty benefits of a coupe as well, don't expect it to steal sales from the BMW 325Ci anytime soon. But, when it comes to competing with the likes of the Honda Accord, Toyota has an undisputable winner.
Sweet :)

Looks pretty sweet here

The ass end needs some serious work though. I think it looks better than the blandmobile Accord Coupe and it definitely has better features.

i dunno...something about the stance of the new toyotas...just doesnt do anything for me. the wheels look too small for the car

I love this car.

If it came with a manual as an option, i'd seriously consider purchasing one next year when I trade in my VW.

It looks good, but supposedly both engines don't produce as good times as their accord equivalents.

Guys don't buy solaras, it's really that simple. Just as no self-respecting male buys a PT Cruiser (I don't care if it's turboed), Beetle (dito), Miata, Eclipse, so too does no guy who cares about himself as an upstanding member of society buy himself a solara.

I really like it. I wish that the rear end didn't look as "beetle"-ish, but hey, it's not that bad. If they offered a manual transmission with the V6, I'd say it would be a sure fire winner ;)

It has no manual because generally women don't care about the transmission as much as guys, so Toyota made a good choice with that.

damn that interior's awesome....

i always liked the older solaras..and now this one looks just too cool ..although the rear end probably needs some improvement..but i suppose one can grow into it...

other than that..i think it looks awesome and I bet it's a lot more comfy than the honda counterparts (i found the corolla's interior superior to the '00 gen accord!)

Americans in general don't like manual trannies...I'd REALLY like to see how the sales of V6 Accord Coupe sticks are doing

I'd be willing to bet it makes up about 5-7% of total Accord sales (coupe and sedan)

Yea, it's not much, My dealer has about 15 accords, out of those they have 1 manual DX sedan and 2 6-speed Coupes (one with Navigation).

I have a 2004 Accord V6 Coupe and I didn't even cross shop for one second with the new Solara. It looks way too strange!!

Also, the Accord V6 6 Speed is quite rare.
