i don't think they are selling well here, never seen one on the road.

That's b/c you live in friggin' CanaDUH😛 I've seen a couple around here. I see Muranos all the time.

Drooooooollllll

I've said it before, but these are just sooo nice. I sat in one @ an autoshow. By far the best cockpit I've ever been in.

Saw a FX35 today on the way to work. Now granted it had snow on it, so that screwed up the lines a bit. But first impression of the exterior: A sports wagon with way too much ground clearance. Also, I did not like the front grill at all. Other than that, bleh.

They really should define a new vehicle segment for these pseudo-SUVs (pre RX300 definition that is). The ones that only see off road action in the commericial on TV.

So the Master of the Obvious doesn't like crossovers.

And a good jackass morning to you.

At least Nissan/Infiniti aren't marketing their crossovers as true SUVs at all. They're essentially calling a spade a spade in their advertising. The Murano is marketed as an SUV for "adventures in on-roading" while the FX ads emphasize the speed & utility of the vehicle, but make no reference to off-road capabilities.

I checked out the FX at the auto show here, it definitely has a masculine appearance and I liked the interior. I don't think I'd buy one myself, but it does combine a lot of elements into a versatile vehicle.

I wish I could find more performance information on the FX35. No one seems to be testing that one at all, and at $35k, it is a lot more affordable to me.

True. I don't think I've seen an ad showing the FX/Murano going off-roading and they are definitely pushing its on-road manners more than anything else. So I will give Infinity/Nissan that.

I think all of the preproduction units that are being tested have the V8... Infiniti probably wanted all the automotive journalists to get the fastest performance times possible.
I've seen a couple of FX45's around here but no FX35's yet, so maybe it's also possible that a large percentage of the initial production runs were FX45s. I dunno.

Another reason why I love Nissan/Infiniti.....the FX and Murano are absolutely gorgeous in my eyes, sadly I've only seen a few thus far. (Less "nice" cars in Ann Arbar than home)

It looks nice and muscular... too bad it can't really go offroad. The power and style and interior are all nice even though I would prolly choose an Audi Allroad or Avant of some sort over it. Prolly even the Volvo V70R/XC90 as well since they're all pretty much segment competitors with some degree of offroad capability.

I actually have to agree with NFS4 this time about FX45 > X5. Nissan's engineering and design has been doing quite well lately... it's too bad the Q doesn't sell more.

I've read that production will be 70/30 FX35's/FX45's

Well, I'm starting to see some FXs... saw an orange one like in the ads... dunno if it was FX35 or 45.
Did see a nice black FX35... great color for the car.

It's actually lower than the pictures make it out to be and the big wheels + big wheel wells do make it look a lot bigger and muscular than it really is.

whoa! This came back from the dead!

I have never actually seen a FX on the road yet. Seen one at the dealer and one at the autoshow. That's it.

Then again, I've seen very G35Coupes as well.

Saw a Murano today. Everything but the front grille is kick ass (this coming from a person who dislikes SUVs). Get a better front grille and it would be top notch.

I see the FX45 suffers from the same problem.
