There's been tidbits here and there about it in various magazines, but they had 3 videos demonstrating FSW in this month's Official XBox Magazine disc showing how the squad moves, fires, and behaves in combat. This game was based off a simulating trainer they made for the U.S. Army.

This game is one of the very few that just plain wowed me in terms of realism and just the sheer intensity of the game. There's a short video demo on the website but that doesn't get into the game in too much depth, but this is definetly going to be one of the best games of the year and will redefine all squad shooters.

I'll believe it when I see it in playable form. I've seen way too many games touting "unparalleled AI and realism" only to be hampered by the lack of the most simple component necessary in a good game -- GAMEPLAY. Developers are focusing too much on accuracy, realism, and eye candy, and have forgotten what makes games fun. It's not just immersing the player in the game -- that's part of it. The rest is keeping the player interested in STAYING in the game, which not many titles do anymore.

thats why quake2 and its mods have been so popular for so long, namely WF and Action....looks like crap, but fun as hell for hours on end

I am doubtful that this game will be fun. It was built first as a military trainer, that doesn't necessarily make it a good basis for a game. All you do is issue orders to 9 guys in 2 squads. The AI will have to be very good, and there will have to be enough for you as the commander to do that it doesn't get boring just watching the small number of troops you have move around and shoot stuff. Hopefully there'll be a demo.

Bleh, it takes all the fun out of a game like Ghost Recon. What good is a squad based shooter if you don't shoot anyone!?
