I've been using the 84.40 version of the Nvidia drivers for awhile because it was the newest driver I could find at the time that displayed full screen video on a secondary display at the proper aspect ratio. All other drivers would stretch widescreen DVD movies to fit my 4:3 CRT TV, but they would still display properly on my 4:3 CRT monitor.
I did a fresh install yesterday and I figure this problem MUST be solved by now so I installed the 169.21 version of the Nvidia drivers. I love the updated settings interface, but when I try to play a widescreen DVD, it fills my 4:3 CRT TV as with all the 90.xx drivers I tried.
Is this problem STILL not solved?! I'm doing more gaming on my PC recently and I could sure benefit from using the newest (or at least newer) drivers. Is there a fix out there that doesn't mess up video on the primary display as well? I'm fine with registry hacks if that's what it takes.
