Wow, eBay uses sitemeter?
I knew right away what this was when he mentioned "blog." I have a WordPress blog and had the Sweetcaptcha plugin installed. One day I was browsing my site without an AD blocker or NoScript and I was getting BS pop ups. So right away I started to investigate. By the process of plugin elimination I narrowed down to Sweetcaptcha. When you visited my site there was a script that ran as well generated from that BS plugin. Others complained and the plugin was removed by WordPress. What a bunch of Fers! That really pissed me off to know that all that time I was giving this bastard plugin free air time and annoying my visitors without me knowing it. Good thing I visted my site in a plain vanilla Firefox install. I keep no less than four browsers on my computer for testing purposes.
I was just on ebay and didn't see anything. Of course I use NoScript and uBlock (Non Origin).

Loading the ebay front page I don't see anything loading from sitemeter. No script or AD.
