Full screen images(in games) suddenly distorted. Please help!

For some reason when I play games such as half life or starcraft my display gets distorted while in the menus. It kind of shrinks vertically, stretches horizontally, and is moved slightly off the screen to the left. Once I get out of the menus and actually into the game, the display goes back to normal. This has never happened before and I've had the same hardware and played the same games on it for 2 years. Anyone have an idea how to fix this? Thanks.

My setup:
Athlon xp 1900
768mb ram
GeForce3 ti200

EDIT: Never mind I figured it out, it was a refresh rate problem
