Enjoy, they also state that Radeon 8500 review is on its way and say that it has the power to outperform Geforce 3 Ti500. It is getting interesting. I guess we just wait and see very soon.

I remember when the first Radeon had the power to outperform the GTS, look at where it is now. Can't even perform near the same level. The 8500 better be able the walk the the talk that the specs tell us, otherwise we've got a rocket car without jetfuel. And according to the reviews, the GF3 Ti 200 looks to be a very great deal. Even if it is slower than a regular GF3, it seems as if a simple overclocking will allow it to regain lost performance (maybe even more). This leaves us with a $200 card that could possibly compete with an 8500. Ofcourse $50 more for the 8500 wouldn't be a bad deal either.

In fact there is a preview article of Radeon 8500 and 7500 with Benchmarks!!! on Sharky's site. Here is the link:
Link for Radeon 8500 and 7500 review
As can be seen from there with beta drivers etc. Radeon does beat GF3 by a big margin in all except one bump mapped test. So this really does look like a nice card.

That article is from mid August using the pre-release and unfinished R7500 and R8500 with very premature drivers.
Also the GF3 benches done in it were using the Det3's.
