full moon tonight ?

Anyone else looking out there ? It's so peaceful ... but all I have are binoculars...

yeah there's only 1 house in my line of sight with their lights on, so I started looking up at the sky instead. 😉

But speaking of peaceful have you ever went to the lake/river front during a storm? Even though the water is violently choppy it's oddly enough very peaceful to watch.

not only full moon, it is the Blue Moon. I think Blue Moon is when there are 2 full moons in one month.

Actually, during a full moon is not one of the best times to look at it with a telescope. Wait till it's a cresent & you get more contrast along the terminator. :moon:

how much do starter telescopes usually run ? What do I need to look out for ?
