Got way too convoluted near the end. (the series) never seen the OVA. I really liked Samurai Champloo.

GitS 2 was meh... look cool but the plot was a thumbs down on

FMA ending was what brought that series down...

Champloo was just ok...

I've always been a fan of Trigun.

It's not long enough to get annoying and it has a fairly fresh plot for each eposide.

Sorry, I liked full metal alchemist, but the ending sucked horribly and didn't really tie up any plot archs at all. Same thing with Trigun, great series until the end. Then it fell flat on it's face. At least cowboy bebop you knew a wierd ending was coming that didn't solve anything, yet there really wasn't a plot arch to solve anything with. Which is why I liked it in a wierd way.

To me the best anime I've seen in a long time is Bleach. The series isn't over yet so I can only hope that the writers don't screw the pooch and do the open ended crap for an ending where nothing is explained and nothign is resolved. Japanese anime is notorious for this and I HATE that. Which is why I hated neon genesis evangelion. Sorry, I don't get off on Kafka, Exatentialism, and other crap like that. I just don't find it thought provoking, witty, or intriguing. You CAN tell a regular story and make it thought provoking, witty and intriguing without having to resort to cheap tricks in the story line, with the camera or scene, or whatever.

So, if you are like me, want a good thought provoking anime with some action, humor, and a different view of reality in a NON-haphazard plot line then go with Bleach. It's frikking awsome.

its pretty good, not super. most anime's have their faults. Read or Die was good, but had a few eps in the middle that where dumb as hell. Boogiepop Phantom was awsome, Gun Grave, and Serial Experiments Lain. prolly the best three series i've ever seen.

i just couldnt' get into episodes like 22 to 25, which sucked, cuz that was the ending. its wierd, but i really liked the idea of the anime more then the execution of it. it'd be awsome to see that idea used in an actual movie and not an anime.

GS Destiny, you mean.

No, he doesn't. SEED was quite a bit better than SEED Destiny (at least at it's current ep).

To the OP: you don't know anime if you think FMA is incredible. Compared to what else is out there, it's barely mediocre. Wolf's Rain, Inuyasha, all that garbage that's been sold to CN fall under the same category as well.

Pretty good, not the best.

 Full Metal Panic

Fumoffu was hilarious. The ending to FMP was lame. I hear series II is coming soon.

FMA was great, the ending was rushed. Needed 52 episodes.

GITS 1 was much better than GITS 2. GITS2 gave me a headache due to need for real-time analysis.

FMP2 is already out... ep 1 and 2
