That would be Penny Arcade now, they bought the whole set minus 10.:Q
 
Anyhow, the best list I can find is this one, which I count at 775. The Penny Arcade Omegathon collection is 776 with 10 missing(so 786 total), so I don't know what the 11 missing games are. As for the reason to why the PA collection is bigger, looking at the list I referenced versus Nintendo's, the 700 number includes all game releases worldwide, while Nintendo's is just the American releases. This would mean that there would be 100 or so games released in places that were not North America(mainly Japan), which makes sense considering the number of erotic and puzzle titles released there. The best way to count would be to count the NES ROM collection itself, but that has dupes in it since it includes multiple versions of a title if multiple versions were released(i.e. a bug was found and fixed in a later pressing).
 
10791 ROMs. 860 of those available in the US. There are only a handlful of duplicates in the US section. Looking for the list.
 
there's a guy i know who has literally every rom of every game ever created. even the ones with bad dumps and hacked versions. its pretty amazing.
