Full Audio CD in one MP3 File

When you go on say Win MX, Kazaa, or Direct Connect, sometimes you will find a complete album when you do a search, which are usually about 40 meg, but are one (1) MP3 file. What is the use of that? (As you cannot easily skip from one song to another) and if you were to burn it, it would seem as it were 1 track, rather than the actualy number of songs present.

Am I not correct? (If anyone knows how they can be useful, please let me know)

well a lot of the albums that i listen to, i enjoy the entire thing... and dont like listening to just part of it...
