Fujitsu U810 questions...

Hi folks. I'm in the market for a portable PC. I looked at the Eee PC and the Fujitsu so far. I wanted a footprint 7" or less and as much PC functionality as possible. (CPU speed, RAM, Storage (HD or Flash doesn't matter to me).

The U810 has most of the functionality I'm looking for (basic office productivity, decent screen resolution - 1024x600 is pretty decent) but the Eee has a better keyboard.

Anyway my questions:

The u810 only has one USB listed. Will a USB hub work? I'd like to attach a USB DVD, Mouse, and headset for example...
The u810 comes with Vista (gag) given how resource hungry Vista is compared to XP are there any with XP out there?
I'm just tempted to throw Linux on there, has anyone used the u810 with Linux?
How decent is the wireless receiver? Anyone with range problems? How far away before you start getting wireless signal problems?
Is there a way to expand the 1G ram on this system?
Is the 40G or 60G a true size of the harddrive? Or is there a 'hidden' partition for system restore?
Does the u810 come with a system restore CD/DVD? Is one available (even on a flash drive would be nice).
Is there any kind of onboard sound? (I if I decide to make it a DVD player, already have a portable drive).

Thanks folks!

and appearently if you order it with vista business, you get an XP disc/drivers. places are doing this now with MSs downgrade option.
has sound
usb hubs always work, but dont expect to power heavy devices with one
ubuntu works on it, check youtube
notebookreview says the wireless is weak at times
i cant imagine theres a place to put more ram. its teeny tiny.

google + common sense answered all of your questions in minutes....have you even looked at the fujistu specs page in the first place?

Gimme a day and I'll get back to you with an alternative (Kohjinsha SH8). I personally hated the U810 because the keyboard is absolutely worthless and tiny as hell. We're getting into thumb typing territory here.

1. One USB is ridiculous. Sure, you can attach a USB hub, but if you want power from the ports, you'll be stuck carrying around an AC adapter for that USB hub, especially for the USB DVD.
2. The A110 actually does quite well in Vista, but you MUST have 2GB of RAM. 1GB vs. 2GB is a night and day difference. XP will still give you better performance and better battery times though.
3. Nope.
4. Dunno.
5. No way to expand the RAM. It's SOLDERED in there
6. Not sure.
7. Not sure.
8. Yes, there is onboard sound.
