Fujitsu Notebook LH531 - can cpu be swapped?

Hi, I'm considering buying the base model of Fujitsu's Lifebook LH531 (FPCR46023) that comes with a Pentium Dual-Core B940. I'd like to know if I can swap out the processor with an i5 later on--is it socketed? I see that the i5 is included in the optional configurations of this model.

that's not true; I changed out the cpu on my compaq v2000.

The processor is also inserted into a slot and can be replaced.

I believe it should work.

Not true at all. Most laptop processors can be changed though there are some that are soldered down(usually thin and lights to save a wee bit of space or things like atom netbooks)

Yup. I believe they call is Socket G2
