Depends...which model are you talking about. Based on that number I'd guess u're talking about the N3010 right?
 
Hmm, that's the 9600 video card in their. Do you have anti-aliasing on? Are you running 3dmark2001 at default settings? 1024x768 etc? You should be looking at ~9500 score.
 
Default settings except triple buffer is on.

The score might be explained by teh fact they only put in a 9600 with 64 megs of ram.

What im really interested in is how reliable these things are. I personaly wouldn't buy such a beast so I haven't looked into most of these laptop companies. (Trying to get a voodoo 🙂) But it was only $1900 dollars...
 
No, the book should still get ~ 9500. The 128 won't be that big of a difference as far as raw 3dmark score is concerned.
