Fujitsu Lifebook P7010 ?

Fujitsu is better built than the Asus.
The Fujitsu comes with the drive built in.
Asus requires external if that matters to you.

I don't think it's considered an ultraportable, because of its size and weight. It is, however, a very nice thin-and-light in my opinion.

I have the P5010D, the previous version which is heavier and thicker. I owned a P2000 before that. They are great laptops. The optical drive is built in and removable if you want the extended battery. There is onboard compact flash, memory stick, and other format readers. The battery life is good. The keyboard takes a little getting used to around the ,./ keys as they are slightly smaller than the rest of the keys.

All in all I love the lifebook P series...
