Fuji X100S and X20

I have been saving for a Fuji X-E1 but these make me want to rethink that because the main complaint of the X-E1 and X-Pro1 has been the AF is a tad slow.

If they update the X-E1 with this new AF I am definitely sold not to mention the slew of other features better sensor 1080p60 focus peaking

Same boat as you. This makes things very difficult. On one hand I almost want to go with the X100S because of it's fixed lens. Since it's not interchangeable, that effectively stops me from feeling like I need to or want to spend more money.
 
The X-E1 and X-Pro1 both suffer from the same problem that the X100 had initially: slow focus.

Since then, they've all had firmware updates that somewhat remedied the issues, but...

If it were my first camera, I'd grab the X100S over any of the other Fuji X cameras right now.

The sensor is newer (much better noise performance at higher ISO and higher resolution), performance is faster than any of the other cameras for sure (thanks to hybrid phase detection and contrast detection AF system), optical viewfinder (love this on my X100), compact size, and best of all, fixed lens so no worries about dust in sensor, or about which lens to use. Just point and shoot.

Since I have a X100, and the X100S doesn't seem like it'll give me more or less DOF, I'm holding back. But honestly, if I didn't have the X100, I'd have pre-ordered a X100S a long while ago.
 
I'd have to see studio and real world photos before jumping the gun on the new cameras. Unless the new sensor can match the low light performance AND the high contrast dynamic range of the EXR sensor, I'll consider it a step backwards.
 
AF didn't bother me with the x100... It was an incredible camera. just the sticky aperture. Only thing I wish they had in the X-E1 is the hybrid viewfinder, where you can be optical or actual. Then I'd get one, and get some FD lenses to mess with manual focus!!! But we need a good manual focus view...
