do they still use that xD memory? if so, i would avoid. trust me, I have one (not same model) and batteries last probably like 25 shots with flash. but they do take decent pictures.

I've loved picture quality on both of my Fujis, but they were the larger form factor.

With a good set of rechargeables (2300-2500mAh), I can get hundreds of shots, and definitely a lot more than with flash on. I don't think xD is the culprit as far as battery life. xD does tend to be a little more expensive, though, but I got my 512MB from Amazon for just under $70 last year.
