I''m thinking of getting this camera for 199.99. Do you guys think its a good camera? Seems like good price for a 4 megapixel camera

EDIT:

A fujifilm 4 megapixel camera vs 3.2 megapixel canon camera

I've got an old FinePix2650 (2.0 MP, basically equivalent to the basic 2MP A205) and it's been a pretty dang good camera. It has some issues in low-light since it's no the lowest noise CCD that was ever made, but it's great 90% of the time and acceptable for that final 10% of the time.

Have the A205, and it's good. Looks like the A330/340 are the replacements for the 205/210. Quick search showed no reviews on them yet....

Looks like you'll be the guinea pig. :)

lol, i was hoping it wouldnt have to come to that. Another question that I have is how would you rate fujifilm's warrenty and tech support?

I don't know, I've never had to use either.

Honestly, Fujifilm has a very good reputation with their digicams, the FinePix series is a highly-rated "point and shoot" series and I see no reason to think that the A340 will be any different, quality-wise, than my 2650. Personally, I'd like to move up to something like an Olympus C5060 or C8080, but those are both higher-end cameras and I'm just kidding myself about being able to afford them. ;)

I was also thinking of a Canon Powershot A310 camera. It's around 170 and only 3.2 megapixels, but the reviews of canon cameras seem very good (i found a review of a A300 and it sounded pretty good). Would you guys recommend canon over fujifilm? I won't be printing out large pictures, i'll store most of my pics on my computer, so 3.2 megapixels is fine for me also.

www.imaging-resource.com has test shots from a lot of fuji and canon cameras. After comparing shots, I decided a Canon was worth paying extra for, and finally ended up getting an A80 for $310 (via a deal at GottaDeal.com).

I I could only spend $200, I'd probably get an A70/A75 unless the new fujis have improved in quality not just resolution.
