Fuji FinePix 1300 Digital Camera for $135.00 at Staples with PM and coupon

<< You forgot that Staples will add next day shipping which is about $50. >>

Everyone knows that! And everyone know that it is AVOIDABLE!

Wow I got this camera back on the Target clerance digital camera deal a while back. I ended up getting the display model for 75, and then got me a flash card reader for 20. It came with the flash card, camera and some batteries (I didn't get a maneul or anything like that but well worth it).

It's a pretty decent camera and it was well worth what I paid, but please note that the light sensitivity of this camera is rather low and you will need to use the flash for almost every photo taken indoors. However on the upside to that situation the battery life is amazing and I can litteraly take hundreds of pictures on a full charge of my recharable battiers, because a higher sensitvity CCD sensor would drain battery power like mad. Controls are simple enough to use, and the LCD on the back is nice and bright.

Avoidable only if you are lucky, you get an idiot who doesn't know the store policy on PMs, you argue until they tired of you and just give it too you (but probably get pissed off and kick you out of the store), or the manager is in very good mood.

maybe im retarded, but how is this avoidable

When you attempt to PM (price match) Staples against a competitor it's up to the discretion (intelligence) of the Staples CSR if they add the next day shipping costs or not. So let's say you order the Fuji Finepix 1300 from Staples.com using a coupon, when you call 1-800-3-STAPLE option 2 and give the CSR your order info then the competitor's website URL and price they will either

1) Deny your price match request, with a reason.
2) Accept your price match request and add the competitor's next day shipping.
3) Accept your price match request and add the competitor's ground shipping or forget to add shipping all together.

What happens if they decline your PM request or add the next day shipping? Say thanks but no thanks, hang up, call again, and again, and again, and again, and again. Of course your mileage may vary but this is an ancient secret handed down many many generations.

😉

I think someone spilled the beans to staples about that secret. In another deal for PM, I called several times trying to get the PM. But the CSR said "according to the note in your order...", looks like CSRs are now making notes on your order when you call in to PM.

I think I saw in a previous post that if you get a CSR who won't PM when you call 1-800-3-STAPLE, call the Customer Service line on the east coast, they usually are easier to deal with. Sorry but I can't remember the number for the east coast line.
