I got one of these free from staples when winXP came out. Ebayed XP and got my money back. This is kind of an old model but OK for simple snapshots. I'd wait for a better deal on a better camera though.
When is MS coming out with an improved XP? I want some more free stuff.
How much can you afford because I have a barely used Fuji Finepix 1400 with 64MB SmartMedia, the original box, CD, USB cable, etc. PM me if you're interested.
I have had this digicam for about 2 years now. It's a good little model, but old. The no-optical zoom sucks, but the picture quality is good. If you spend 50 bucks more, you will be able to get a lot better camera.
I have the 1400, bigger brother to the 1300..me and my brother compare similar shots(he has the small sony 3mp, can't remember model) and you can't really tell much of a difference..Fuji colors are better, especially in close up mode, the sony outside shots are a little better, but they both look awesome..you have to look really closely to make out the difference..I think this is a good deal.
I got this camera during the Staples deal also. I like it. Pretty simple. It needs alot of light. But then again, most digicams do. I think the ISO rating is 200. The only limitation is that 1.2 megapixels will at best do a 4x6 print. And at that resolution, you'll need a huge smartmedia card. If you do get this camera, be sure to get the free media reader from Staples this week. It is a billion times faster than hooking up the camera to the computer to read your pictures.
Great value! But of course if you have more money than brains you can get it at a bargain on fleabay for about $115, thereby gettting rid of your money even quicker
Entry-level digicams are getting better all the time, and the Fuji FinePix A101 is a sure sign of that! This 1.3 megapixel digicam delivers great image quality, with excellent, bright color. While easy to use, the A101 does provide enough controls to let you get good shots even in tricky lighting. You'll still see some of Fuji's prior Finepix 1300 model in the market at the same price as the A101, but the new model has made great strides in color over its older sibling, so hold outfor the newer model. Stylish and compact with a built-in lens cover, the A101 drops easily into a pocket to take anywhere. The 1280x960 image size lets you make sharp prints up to 5x7 inches, while the 640x480 size is great for online or email use. The A101 is a great choice for a "getting started" camera, or one that you'd feel comfortable letting the kids take with them. A great bargain, at only $179.95 from our partner State Street Direct. (See the 2 megapixel FinePix A201 for the same basic camera, only with 2 megapixels of resolution, for prints up to 8x10!)
