Fuji Digi cam not loading Mass Storage driver at all?

For some reason my finepix 2600Z stopped working on PC. The mass storage driver isn't loading at all. I'm trying to manually install it but nothing will work. It's an old HP with Win98. It used to work but now nothing happens when you plug the camera in.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure under what circumstances you had this item working previously... however, i'm 90% sure that there is no mass storage driver for Win98, there is for Win98se, but i've not seen support for it with Win98. (I was unable to get a firewire HD working because of this).

well this is father-in-laws HP and it did work before about 4-5 months ago when I tried.

This is a SE version of Win98.

The usb port. Well if I unplug the cord from the PC the camera goes from "usb" mode to viewing pictures as if the cord wasn't plugged in. I made sure USB was enabled in the BIOS.
