This deal has been mentioned before, but only briefly in the context of other messages...

OfficeMax has 50-pack spindles of arguably the best CD media available from the best name in CDRs (TY). Even at the $19.99 purchase price, this is a great deal. At $9.99 after the $10 mail-in rebate, it's a steal! Get em while they last! :D

It appears to be B&M only for now. At the OM that I got mine, they had to get them out of the back for me because they hadn't put them on the shelves yet. Seems to me like it is a new product for them, so expect it to hit the OM web site soon.

To me anyway, this takes out the guess-work of CDR purchases. You don't have to worry if the disks are made in Taiwan, USA, or Japan because I've only seen Fuji disks from Japan (and TY). Imation and TDK might make a good disk if you get the ones from Japan, but how do you know what you're getting?

Why order online and take chances when you can get quality 80-min CDRs for a mere $.20 each??

The rebate form says "Limit 4 per name, address, group or organization. Customer eligible to redeem additional 2 rebates 1 year from last rebate redeemed".

I would strongly suggest getting separate receipts for each spindle (yeah, I forgot!), as I'm not sure if Fuji is going to send me $20 back for my 2 spindles or just $10. The rebate form itself is written in singular tense as in 1 upc, 1 receipt, etc with no plural mention of rebate(s) or upc(s), so be sure to do separate rebate requests to get all your dough back...

They had a similar deal here in Canada previously and whomever was handling the rebates did so in fine fashion. The rebates all went out and we were all happy. Not sure if they are using the same rebate center in the States.

What the heck does "Customer eligible to redeem additional 2 rebates 1 year from last rebate redeemed" mean? Does that refer to any rebate, regardless of what product it was for. Do the companies consider rebates 'the same' even if the rebates are offered duing two different periods? I always figured that a rebate offer, good for one week only, was considered a separate rebate from the exact same offer a couple weeks later because of the limited durations. Anyone know for sure?

I was just there saturday, and found a 50 pack for $19.99 w/10.00 IR applied at the register. So, it ended up being $9.99 for 50 pack of 80 min 12x certified CD's.

I just picked up these CD's from OM and got their little rebate booklet. However, the rebate states you must send in "this original rebate form" but what they gave me is a photocopy in the rebate flyer they have. Should I send in this form, or should I look around for a real form?

That is a great deal if you can get both the instant rebate AND the mail-in... does your receipt mention the IR?? Just find a rebate form from another store. :) For those looking for these, the sku # is 074101754759.

Danzilla, I think that means if you send off 4 rebates today (the max allowed per address), you could redeem 2 more rebates a year from now ... the way they say it is quite silly, but I guess they don't want people buying hundreds of these at half price, so they put the limit on it. By the way, my receipt says the original price on these is $27.99.

Rigmah,

Yeah, I'm at work right now, but when I get home I will scan it. How do you want me to send it to you?

Does anyone know if I will encounter any problems mailing off the photocopied rebate form that Office Max gives you? The form says it must be the original rebate form.

Rebate form says to send in original or photocopy of receipt & original UPC from spindle....maybe they'll accept it without "official rebate receipt"...don't know....

BTW....the add and coupon say it's "non-printable"....what does this mean ?

Haven't opened the spindle yet....do these disks have a place to write on them or do I need to affix a CDR label ?

????

Is this an Officemax store only rebate or does this apply if you purchase it elsewhere like CompUSA or Circuit City ?
