DVD+R - 2.4X
DVD-R - 1X
Note: Fuji -
Fuji - 100pk 4X DVD+R spindle is $79.99 + tax.
I wouldn't worry about that so much, since BestBuy's Fuji (T-Y, if MIJ) CD-Rs are still shown as "16x" packaging, yet it's been a long time since they've mfg'ed anything slower than 48x speed CD-Rs.
If the SKUs in the ad match the ones on the 8x packages' price stickers, I'm there.
Edit: Got back from the store, picked up a 50-spindle of Fuji 8x DVD-R, since I've been stocking up so much on +R lately. There were *four* different types of Fuji DVD-R packs, one 8x-rated "MIJ" (T-Y distinctive packaging), two 8x-rated "MIT" (one with a black bottom, and one with a grey-colored bottom plastic piece), and a fourth 4x-rated "MIT", similar to the other two, but the blue printing on the outer wrapped went all the way to the ridge on the top of the plastic spindle, whereas the two 8x "MIT" packages did not. Also, the 4x "MIT" had a vertical bar-code, the others had horizontal ones. I would be curious to know who the mfg of those other styles of media are, but it's not that important, since the T-Y ones are "obvious", due to the packaging.
I purchased one out of two of the T-Y 8x DVD-R packages at my store (one was hidden behind - some sneaky bastage put it there - well, I left it for you, have fun.

). The only 8x DVD+R packages that I could see (4 total), were
all in T-Y style packaging. There was also a display of Fuji media at the "impulse buy" area near the check-outs, but
none of those were T-Y.
Now I just have to decide whether to flash my ND1300A with recently-released TDK or IODATA OEM firmware 1.0C, or wait for the official NEC 1.0C release. Hmm.
