Yea, as an xD deal hunter myself (I own a FujiFilm FinePix A210) I'd agree that OP's deal is warm at best... VOODOO's deal is much better, plus no rebate.

I can vouch for the Olympus media. I bought a 64mb card from Newegg shortly after I bought my camera, and then proceeded to lose the Fuji original 8mb card... oh well. So now the Olympus is all I use, no issues.

Thanks for clarifying that. My sister just got a fujifilm digicam and I need to get her a bigger memory card for it. I wasn't sure if I could use this one in her camera. Thanks!!

I was looking for one of these a few weeks ago and I just couldn't turn down the NewEgg price on one: $45 + $5 shipping + (grrrr) tax. It was an actual Olympus card, and if you didn't care about the panorama, a few bucks less for the Lexar/Sandisk or Fuji. If you need the card yesterday, the Circuit City price is good but if you can wait, definitely check out the typical online places.

So you guys are absolutely positive that the Olympus card will work in a Fuji camera? If so I'm gonna pick one of these up for my lady for Xmas.

I just bought one today, and the card itself says fujifilm on it, the packaging shows that it should say olympus on the card, and the brand is sandisk. Confusing...

At any rate, if it doesn't work you can always just return it.

I can vouch for that -- the olympus card works great in my A340. The only difference between the cards is if you have an Olympus card and an Olympus camera, it'll let you shoot in that panorama mode.

Fry's and Outpost.com have a 512MB for $79.99 right now. SKU is 4055192. Unless you want
the smaller one for some reason, that is certainly a better price per MB or per picture. Outpost
would require shipping, but if you are near a Fry's, that equates to $40 per 256MB.

nice. Just for compatability skeptics, on the back it says "Fully compatible with all devices with an xD slot"

Are these for different cameras or what? Because that's some crap, it's the same stupid card..

So is this one dead now? When I click the link I get a page not found error and when I search for 256mb XD cards on the CC site it doesn't find any.

I apologize for what I am about to do...it is not intended as pure thread bashing nor disrespect to others in this thread. But, the thrust of this topic is exactly why I refuse to buy either Olympus or Fuji digicams. Everyone is getting all lathered up because a 256MB xD card can be had for $60 delivered. Whew, let's control ourselves.

I thought it was a good move when Olympus and Fuji dropped smartmedia but was puzzled when they introduced the xD format. With compact flash and secure digital selling for a third or even less, it is obvious now. Buy our cameras and you must also buy our outrageously overpriced proprietary memory. To add insult to injury, Olympus intentionally cripples its cameras so that the full feature set only works if you use Olympus branded memory cards.

Bottomline, if you already own an Olympus or Fuji, remember to enjoy your cameras while you bend over and spread 'em. To all others, think before you buy.
