Fuel injector service at Walmart?

Just put new plugs and wires into my 04 Silverado 6.0L with 75K miles on it and noticed it evened out the idle a lot and quieted the engine down by at least 20-30%.

I was thinking about running by Walmart at lunch and having them do a fuel injector cleaning. I run a bottle or two of Techron or a octane booster through my truck every 6 months or so, but don't do it every 3k as recommended. After calling and asking, Walmart's service is more than just adding a bottle to the tank, they hook up the fuel return to a bottle of cleaner and blow it through the injectors.

Worth the $20 they charge or would I be better off sticking with the techron (which after reading online is little more than methanol)?

I would just keep the 20$ in my pocket. I wouldn't worry too much about using the techron bottles so often unless you have evidence of gummed up injectors or dirty valves.

All gas have added detergents to help you avoid gumming up the injectors. Certain brands advertise that they contain more detergents than others, but unless your car is experiencing symptoms of clogged injectors, I don't think it's necessary to spend money on extra fuel additives or cleaning.

I don't know why you're thinking about taking your vehicle for service at wal-mart. That is your first mistake.

At 75K your injectors should be fine.

You must really hate your truck if you're considering walmart service. I'd let them change the oil maybe, or a battery, nothing else.
