Fuel Gauge

I got an oldsmobile Intrigue, and my low fuel indicator light just went off. About how much gas do I still have left? I wanna wait to fill up because costco is closed for the night.

well, i think that when the light is on, you have less than 1 gallon. So consider how many miles per gallon do you typically get, and then subtract a few miles, or divide by 2 to be safe. How far is Costco?

You might consider just getting a little gas tonight so you don't end up stranded, then fill up at Costco tomorrow.

i had an intrigue... in fact i'm selling it now... um when the light comes on i have no idea how much gas you have left. i'm not that retarded to try to drive without gas. hope this helps.

haha..well i get usually around 21.5 mpg, and i've driven 301 miles on this tank of gas, which comes out to around 60 miles left. So i could divide that in half and say i'm good to go for another 30 miles.

write down you milage now and when you run out, post the numbers and I can calculate it for you. no charge BTW

Fuel indicators (meter type) on motorcars should have a letter below E. This would be W. W stands for walk.

It could be P for push but not everyone is going to do that. :Q
