I just got a distrubing email, someone ran sysprep on an existing 2008 r2 domain controller. As I understands it, its alls hosed, security errors, etc. This isnt my client but I'm being bought in to fix it.

I dont have remote access to look at it now but I was told, single DC, no backups.

I'm still googling but it doesn't look good. Anye one have experience in this ?

Sorry, but your DC is mush. You guys are toast without backups. Save all data, (if this also acted as a file server) reload the system, bring up AD/DNS and start from fresh. It's going to be a pain, but it's a lesson learned for your buddy and your company.

not me and not my company.. i just found out my boss decided to hired his "friend" to do these work and have the rest of us try to clean it up.. they ask me to come and help except its 9:30 and no one email or call me on where to go or show up..

im just gonna surf the forums and do my other jobs and take a nap 🙂
