Hi,
I was wondering can a client pcs to be a ftpserver?
Answer: Yes
Can someone teach me how to set it up?
Answer: I'll try
First I need to know what OS you are using and what your network looks like. Also, I would like to know what you hope to achieve from setting up a server. If you can give me this info, it will be a snp to walk you through the setup. I await your reply.

For your first question, i am using winme. As for my network... just like normal homenetwork. Using a hub and a server( win2k) and link to all pcs at home. Software? using sygate as a router. Well hopefully i can setup a ftpserver for my friends to exchange file with me more easier. That means the ftpserver gonna be able to upload and download. Ohya..i am using G6 ftpserver software.I just couldnt configure and let my friends enter the ftpserver.i even give them my server ip , not successful ... so pls give me some clue thanks million. Waitting for your reply! and thanks......

Hi Alston,
I have used Sygate before, and I have used FTP servers before, but I have never used them in conjunction. I did a quick net search and found This
It doesn't seem to say much, and I hope this means it is simple. Best of luck, and come on back if you still need help. Maybe one of the other techs here has done this before, but hasn't read your post yet.

I'm pretty sure the file is there. Are you sure you set your view options to show hidden files? If so, I'm a little confused. I'll check one of my rigs and see if I can figure this out manually. Talk to you soon, I hope.
