Looking for recomendations on software for running a fileserver. I am not sure what OS I should even run it on, I was actually concidering BeOS 5.0 and using Campus to run it. Currently the system is running Windows 2000 Professional, but I am just not sure. It is going to be a pretty big fileserver for work. Running around 360 GB Movie / Music Server. (Mind you this a personal server)
Any tips/sites or personal experience would be helpful for running my FTP. I am not beyond changing OS, I enjoy working with new ones, (most the time) so anything at all would be useful.

You should use Linux. It doesen´t ask for many resources, and, if it´s well configured, it´s the most secure.

capodeloscapos - I am unsure about Linux because I am not very good with it. I have been able to learn BeOS really easily so far and like how it words. Windows is... well Windows. Every time I ever try to play with my Linux system that I have it gets trashed. I can't load anything on it or anything. I have been desperatly trying to teach myself but for some reason I can't pull it off.

I recommend Serv-U from Rhino Soft. I'm using it now and I like it. It works in practically all Mikeysoft OS's.
