I've used both, and although G6 is overall better, it has some weird kinks. For example, two of my folders, when clicked on wouldn't show it's contents. I tried text linking, resolving windows shortcuts links, moving the folder to other partitions or drives, just wouldn't work...

definitly go with G6 FTP server, its easy to setup, stable and you can even get it to run as a Win2000 service.

Just make sure to steer clear of War FTP. IT is hard to use and learn, you dont want to put up with it.

dcdomain, i've been using G6 since the very early releases and haven't had any of those problems.

G6 takes more resources and seems it isn't as stable. It used to disconnect me from the internet, i have no idea why but when i switched to FTP serv-u, everything was fine. G6 doesn't have a friedly interface, as it's hard to see the percentage someone's download is at.

No mention of IIS? It's easy to install, kind of hard to secure, but pretty easy to maintain once you learn your way around. Comes free with W2K! Plus, it's well documented on MS's site.
