Hi,

someone have left our company's FTP to be wide open for anonymous users.

so some kiddos out there was uploading stuffs into our FTP server. We have closed our FTP server down, but there are some folder structures that cannot be deleted.

some of it started by folder " " (or no folder name)

How do I delete these folders ?

Thanks !

I've had this happen too.

First rename the directory, then delete it. The renaming part is key, otherwise you won't be able to delete it.

Yeah, I had that problem too...

I used a Graphical FTP client (CuteFTP), selected the ' ' directory and hit delete and it vanished.

Make sure you have sufficient permissions though.

I found the fix for anyone interested

go to your directory and type in dir /x

you can see the actual hidden name in there.

then do a rmdir (hidden dir name)
