ftp problems witn win2k server IIS and serv-u

i have serv-u running but anytime i try to connect to the server through another computer (ftp client), it tries to connect to the IIS FTP server instead of serv-u. how do i get around this?

Go into services, select the MS FTP server and select 'stop'. Change it's startup to 'manual'. That said, if you don't know how to start/stop the web/ftp services you have running on your box, you should probably consider removing them. It was hundreds of thousands of similar setups that allowed CodeRed/Nimda to spread so quickly. The basic rule is, if your not using it, turn it off.
