I'm forced to use FTP in this case since I'm paying someone to host one of my sites. I logged in via FTP to remove some directories that were added by FrontPage 2000. It's primarily the _borders _disc directories.... The problem is that they are empty, but every FTP client I use tells me there's something in the folder. I can't find a client that will allow me to see any hidden files and I don't know how to get those directories out of there. I've renamed them and I'm still getting the same error. Has anyone had this problem before?

I had a problem like that once when I wanted to remove my old web site and create a new one from scratch. I had to ask my web host to erase everything in my site so I could start over.

Scarpozzi,
I've had weird problems exactly like this in the past. depending on WHICH program you are using, some won't allow you to delete x-directory unless all the files inside it have already been deleted. so if x-dir has image.jpg inside it still, the proggy won't let you delete the directory! really st00p1d measure on the part of the programmer to make sure that you REALLY REALLY REALLY want to delete the directory, but still some FTP programs follow this prerogative.

just my 2c

Sorry it took me so long to get back...I've been covered up at work. ;) The FTP proggies I've used so far are the following and none work: Cute FTP, WS FTP, MSIE 5.5, MSIE 6, and I can't remember the other one cause it's a freeware deal I got from Cnet... If anyone has any suggestions, I appreciate it. I'm sorta stumped on this one.

Like I said earlier, you're gonna have to have your web host delete it for you. Not too complex...
