FTP help

I have used Norton for my anti-virus and firewall for two years. Then i switched to PC-chillin internet securityand system mechanic on my machine. When I used norton I could use FTP software with no problem I could setup a server on my computer.

But when i switched to PC-chillin and system mechanic no one could FTP into my machine. So i switched back to norton to get it to work. But I liked the way my machine ran with PC-chillin it used up less resources. If anyone know the setting to make it work???

The Server software is Bullet FTP server.

sounds like the new software is blocking a port that you need... id start there .. im really not familiar with either pcchillin or bulletftp

I unblocked port 20-21 for FTP and allowed incoming and outgoing on PC-chillin and still no dice, weird.

Are you using passive mode?

i have no clue how do you check?? What is "passive mode"??
