FTP behind a Linksys Router - Passive mode problem

I recently set up a FTP using G6 v2.0 as the server software and have had considerable trouble with the passive mode settings. Presently, if someone tries to connect with PASV mode set, they are unable to ?connect to data sockets? and time-out. I am sitting behind a Linksys router (BEFSR11) with firmware version 1.38.5.
My current settings on the router allow for port forwarding for TCP to port range 50000-50100 to my machine's ip. I have the matching settings in G6.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is a problem with running ftp servers from behind the linksys. Not all ftp server programs work with certain clients. Some don't work at all. Somebody told me that serv-u works good with the proper ports forwarded, but nobody has found a really good solution yet.
